Tune an Opel Calibra
Cat-back Exhaust
Lift the front and rear end of your Opel Calibra off of the ground, each end individually. Place jack stands behind each of the front wheels underneath the frame, then lower the front onto these stands. Repeat this process for the rear of the car, placing the jack stands in front of the rear wheels.
Crawl under the middle of the vehicle and lubricate the bolts and nuts that hold the full exhaust system into place. Loosen these parts to remove the factory exhaust system.
Slide the old cat-back exhaust and muffler from above the rear axle once all bolts and nuts have been removed. Place the old system to the side; you will need to dispose of these pipes properly later.
Slide the new exhaust piping system and muffler into place directly where the old one was removed. Begin installing the hanging hardware but do not completely tighten. Coat the overlap in the pipes with an antiseize compound. Tighten all of the bolts and nuts.
Raise each of the ends of the Calibra off of the jack stands and remove these stands. Lower the car back to the ground so all four wheels are touching the ground again.
